An Alton woman has filed suit against her husband, claiming he caused her emotional distress after he threatened her life.

In a complaint filed Sept. 3 in Madison County Circuit Court, Dorothy Metzger claims Martin Robert Metzger threatened her life and threatened to do her great bodily harm on July 23, 2007, at 6 p.m.

Dorothy Metzger is seeking actual and punitive damages in excess of $150,000, plus the costs of the suit.

She claims she incurred severe injury, including injury to her body and mind, emotional well-being and has manifested physical symptoms.

She also claims she faced medical costs because of the assault.

Dorothy is represented by Samuel A. Mormino, Jr., of Mormino, Velloff, Edmonds & Snider in Alton.
